Buy Bitcoins using IMPS/UPI instantly
This page explains how to buy Bitcoin in India using UPI or IMPS service. You can use any UPI/IMPS app like BHIM or Google Tez to make the payment. Buy bitcoins using IMPS/UPI payment in 3 steps:
1. Create LocalBitcoin account
Create an account on the LocalBitcoins.com website. This is an international website where you can keep your bitcoins. To go to this site click on the link below. Please be careful in going to this site as there are other sites which are copies of LocalBitcoins website and might want to scam you. To be sure that you are going to the right site, only click on the link below and create your account.
2. Create "Bitcoin Buy with IMPS" request
Once you have created the account click on the "Buy bitcoins online" button below to specify how much INR worth bitcoin you want to buy. You can buy Bitcoins for as low as Rs. 200 using IMPS/UPI.

You might find that our rates are higher than US dollar rates. This is because, rates for Bitcoin in India are higher by about 10% as compared to the rates in US dollars. This is largely because most of the Bitcoins that come to India, come from US and the payment providers charge about a 10% markup.

3. Make payment
Once you initiate a buy request using the link above, we will send you instructions to make the payment. We respond fast, typically in less than a minute. Once you make the payment give us around 2 minutes to verify the transaction. Once verified we will ask LocalBitcoin to release the Bitcoins to you and they will come into your LocalBitcoin account.
You can make payment using either your bank account directly (using IMPS option), or by using an UPI app like PhonePe, BHIM or Google Tez. Please note that we dont support NEFT/RTGS transfers at this point of time because they take a lot of time to do the transaction. Please note that we are recently seeing some issues regarding UPI transactions. Sometimes the transaction gets stuck for 2-3 days in case your money gets debited from your account but it does not get credited to our account. Sometimes the transaction says pending and neither debit/credit happens. Even though this happens in less than 1% of the cases, but we will work with you actively incase a transaction gets stuck. We will have to wait for the transaction to go through in the worst case, but we will constantly be in touch and your bitcoins will be reserved at the same price when you initiated the transaction.
